The Elazığ-Harput music, which holds a significant place within Turkish music, contains compositions with distinctive melody progressions and musicalstructures unlike music from other regions. It is stated in the sources that the makams of these works are examined differently from the makams in urkish music,as makams that include names and sequences specific to one region. In the research, the work called “İbrahimiye Gazel” belonging to the Elazığ-Harput region wasnotated and examined in terms of makam. As a result, it has been revealed that the makam structure of the work is in the “Uşşak” makam, one of the makams in Turkish music. Consequently, with the identification of these structures which are called “Elazığ-Harput makams” in the sources, it has been concluded that they do not represent regional makams but rather styles of discourse.
