In recent years, social, economic and technological developments have increased people's desire to discover and know new places and cultures. The idea of traveling and vacationing has led to the spread of package tour contracts. Package tour contracts are the contracts where at least two of the transportation, accommodation and other tourism services together are sold or promised to be sold at an all-inclusive price by the package tour organizers or their intermediaries, and the service covers a period of more than twenty-four hours or includes overnight accommodation. In cases where the contract is not fulfilled at all or as required, the issue of how to protect the consumer is important. In this direction, first of all, the general definition, conditions and content of the package tour contract are included in this study. Then, in the light of the provisions of the legislation and judicial decisions, the termination of the contract and the consequences of it’s termination were examined. The cases that terminate the contract have been evaluated under separate headings in terms of both the reasons on which the package tour organizer is based and the reasons on which the consumer is based. The cost that the consumer may demand due to his or her wasted time is also among the subjects analyzed in the study.
