The
Quran has attracted many people over the centuries and this interest is still
ongoing. While it can be clearly understood by the source language speaker as
of the period in which it emerges, in the following centuries various
understanding problems have arisen with the acceptance of the religion of Islam
by people belonging to different nations, especially those who are not source
language readers. The Quran, which is the most important source of Islamic
religion, is important for the source language or native speaker of Arabic as
well as who do not know this language. In this context, the need to translate
to the target language has arisen, but some difficulties have been encountered
in these translations. When the Quran has been considered to be a basic source
of religion as well as carrying a literary style, the difficulties encountered
in translations into the target language becomes more apparent. In our study,
including al-tahakkom in the translations of some of ayat into target
language/Turkish will be examined through the selected translations of the
Quran. How al-tahakkom is reflected to the translation -or is not reflected-
will be shown through tafsir books which are known by the linguistic
interpretations, and some translation alternatives will be presented.
