The Balkan war caused the Ottoman Empire loosing nearly the whole territory in Europe and great prestige as well. After the Armenian revolts d11ring the period of Abdiilhamid II, some Armenians migrated to Bulgaria and approximately 300 Armenians had a part in the side of the Bulgarian army as a volunteer detachment in the First Balkan War. This volunteer detachment was 11nder the command of General Geneff who was commanding the Volunteer Macedonian-Edime Brigade of 16.000 soldiers which consisted of B11lgarian and Macedonian irregulars.
