ABSTRACT
Aim: In this study, it was aimed to examine the effects of perceived sense of belonging on perceived stress and problem solving skills and to provide suggestions for more effective work of healthcare personnel in the field of Emergency and Disaster Medical Services.
Method: Sociodemographic Information Form, Perceived Belonging Scale, Perceived Stress Scale and Problem Solving Inventory scales were applied to the employees in Emergency and Disaster Medical Services.
Results: In 510 emergency workers, the "Perceived Stress Level Scale" Cronbach Alpha coefficient was 0.86; Cronbach Alpha coefficients of the sub-dimensions are 0.84 and 0.81, the Cronbach Alpha coefficient of the "Perceived Belonging Status Scale" is 0.86, and finally the "Problem Solving Inventory" Cronbach Alpha coefficient is 0.91; Cronbach Alpha coefficients of the subscales were determined as 0.80 / 0.82 / 0.71 / 0.74 / 0.80 and 0.72, respectively.
Conclusion: As a result, it was determined that high stress and belonging and problem solving skill level are inversely correlated, working hours affect the sense of belonging, and problem solving skill level is correlated with the sense of belonging.
