The aim of this study is to present a sample lesson plan prepared in accordance with the constructivism 5E model and supported with drama. Teachers’ need for application examples has constituted the reason for the study. The achievements of “Tectonic formation of the Earth (10.1.1)” and “Associating the characteristics of geological times with tectonic events (10.1.2)” were selected in the lesson plan prepared at the 10th-grade level. Experiencing learning disabilities due to the fact that it is an abstract subject and the lack of information on these achievements in geography course books were effective in topic selection. In general, student-centred methods, especially drama, were used in the plan. Contemporary methods and techniques such as computer-aided teaching practices, analogy, brainstorming, pantomime, concept and mind map were evaluated within the steps of the constructivism 5E model. Analogies were used as advance organizers. The evaluation was performed with alternative assessment and evaluation tools. The aim is to prepare a student-centred, entertaining and effective lesson plan. A literature survey was primarily conducted in the study’s process steps. The geography curriculum and course books were examined. Then, a lesson plan, which is the subject of the study, was prepared under the guidance of a domain expert, educational domain expert and drama leader. The content validity was provided by making required arrangements with the opinions of the specialists.
