Abstract
Konjenital ptozis levator kasının nedeni bilinmeyen gelişimsel distrofisi olup, genellikle sporadiktir İleri derecede blefaroptozis olgularında en sık kullanılan başlıca cerrahi yöntem frontal askı tekniğidir. Whitnall bağı levator kılıflarının kalınlaşması ile meydana gelen bant şeklinde bir oluşumdur. Frontal Askı Cerrahisinin yetersiz kaldığı ağır konjenital pitozlu olgularda Whitnall bağına askı cerrahisi frontal askılamaya alternatif olarak kullanılabilecek bir yöntemdir. Ayrıca rezorbe olmayan sütür materyalinin tercih edilmesi cerrahiyi olumlu yönde etkilemektedir.
