Abstract

Occupational accidents and occupational diseases are an important problem in working life. It is important to utilize statistical data to prevent and reduce these problems. Statistics provides a numerical expression of occupational accidents and occupational diseases. These data help to determine in which sectors, in which occupations, in which age groups and in which genders the problems are more common. This information is used to determine the measures to be taken to prevent and reduce the problems. In this study, studies on occupational diseases and occupational accidents using statistical methods were examined. Statistical studies have been found to be guiding in issues such as performance monitoring, making comments on the current situation and taking precautions for the future.
