Abstract
In the scope of this study, it is aimed to examine shared accommodation risks and assess the risk status of the cities in Turkey with respect to the selected risk factors. Step-Wise Weight Assessment Ratio Analysis (SWARA) was used to weight the identified risk factors, and Weighted Aggregated Sum Product Assessment (WASPAS) was used to assess cities. Factor weights were obtained based on the assessments made by users who either benefited from or had knowledge of shared accommodation services, and the risk status of cities were examined based on real data. According to the findings, the weights of the risks related to the other party’s behavior were higher. Metropolises such as Ankara and Istanbul are among the cities with lower risk. Considering the increasing interest in shared accommodation services and the contribution of these services to sustainability, the findings of the study will provide a roadmap for taking necessary precautions for cities that are considered high risk, increasing the quality of services and the rate of benefiting from these services.
