‘yeter neden’i ile Aristoteles’in ‘ilk muharrik’i arasındaki benzerliklerle
beraber farkları da incelemeyi amaçlamaktadır.

Comparison of Aristotle’s First Mover and Leibniz’s Sufficient Reason
Both Aristotle and Leibniz are among those philosophers who contributed
to the cosmological arguments. What makes their arguments different from other
forms of the cosmological arguments is that they don’t refuse the possibility
of infinity or eternity of the universe while they are trying to prove the
existence of God. However, assuming the presence of a ‘first mover’ or a
‘sufficent reason’ in the beginning of an infinite series seems, at first,
contradictory.
This study aims to focus on the contradiction mentioned above and study
the differences along with the similarities between Leibniz’s sufficient reason
and Aristotle’s first mover.
