Examining the Effect of 8-Week Strength Training on Shooting Performance in Handball

Öz

Purpose: The aim of this study is to examine the effects of eight weeks of handball strength training on shooting performance.
Method: A total of 34 handball players from Malatya Province participated in the study voluntarily. The handball players participating in the study were randomly divided into two groups as Control Group (CG) (n=17) and Training Group (AG) (n=17). In this study, vertical jump, 30 seconds sit-ups, 30 seconds push-ups, 20-meter sprint and 9-meter throw tests were taken before and after training. Paired t Test analysis was used for within-group analyses in the study, and Independent t Test analysis was used to determine the differences between the two groups.
Results: No statistically significant difference was found in the comparison of the pre-test averages of the groups in jumps, sit-ups, push-ups, speed and shooting (p>0,05). A statistically significant difference was found in the comparison of the post-test averages of the groups in jumps, sit-ups, push-ups, speed and shooting (p<0,05).
Conclusion: As a result, we can say that eight weeks of handball strength training have positive effects on vertical jump, 30 seconds sit-ups, 30 seconds push-ups, 20-meter sprint and shooting accuracy performances.

8 Haftalık Hentbol Kuvvet Antrenmanlarının Atış Performansı Üzerindeki Etkisinin İncelenmesi

Öz

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı sekiz haftalık hentbol kuvvet antrenmanlarının atış performansı üzerindeki etkinin incelenmesidir.
Yöntem: Çalışmaya Malatya İl’inde bulunan toplam 34 hentbol sporcusu gönüllü olarak katılım sağladı. Çalışmaya katılan hentbol sporcuları Kontrol Grubu (KG) (n=17) ve Antrenman Grubu (AG) (n=17) olmak üzere rastgele yöntemle iki gruba ayrıldı. Bu çalışmada antrenman öncesinde ve sonrasında dikey sıçrama, 30 saniye mekik, 30 saniye şınav, 20 metre sürat ve 9 metre atış testleri alındı. Çalışmada grup içi analizleri için Paired t Testi analizi, iki grup arasındaki farklılıkları tespit etmek için ise Independent t Testi analizi kullanıldı.
Bulgular: Grupların sıçrama, mekik, şınav, sürat ve atış ön test ortalamalarının karşılaştırılmasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmedi (p>0,05). Grupların sıçrama, mekik, şınav, sürat ve atış son test ortalamalarının karşılaştırılmasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edildi (p<0,05).
Sonuç: Sonuç olarak, sekiz haftalık hentbol kuvvet antrenmanlarının dikey sıçrama, 30 saniye mekik, 30 saniye şınav, 20 metre sürat ve atış isabet performanslarında olumlu etkilerinin olduğunu söyleyebiliriz.
