KİŞİSEL FİNANSAL FAKTÖRLER, KOMPULSİF SATIN ALMA VE FİNANSAL İYİ OLMA HALİ ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİLER

Abstract

Bu araştırmanın amacı,
bireylerin materyalizm, hedonik tüketim, bütçeleme, özbenlik ve statü tüketimi
düzeylerinin kompulsif satın alma üzerindeki etkilerini ve kompulsif satın
almanın da finansal iyi olma hali üzerindeki olası etkilerini ortaya koymaktır.
İlgili alan yazında yüksek düzeyde materyalizm, hedonik tüketim ve statü
tüketimi ile düşük düzeyde bütçeleme yeteneği ve özbenliğe sahip bireylerin
kompulsif satın alma eğilimlerinin arttığı; bu artışın ise finansal iyi olma
halini olumsuz etkilediği birçok çalışmada ortaya konmuştur. Bu araştırma ile
Türkiye’de bu etkilerin uluslararası literatürle paralellik gösterip
göstermediği test edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Araştırmada veri toplamak amacıyla 66
soruluk bir anket kullanılmış ve toplam 226 kişiden geri dönüş sağlanmıştır.
Veri kullanılarak yapılan analizler sonucunda materyalizmin alt boyutlarından
merkeziyetçilik boyutunun kompulsif satın alma üzerinde pozitif bir etkisi
tespit edilirken, materyalizmin diğer boyutlarının anlamlı bir etkisi
saptanamamıştır. Bunun yanı sıra, hedonik tüketim ve statü tüketiminin
kompulsif satın alma üzerinde pozitif; bütçeleme ve özbenlik değişkenlerinin
ise kompulsif satın alma üzerinde negatif etkileri tespit edilmiştir. Öte
yandan, kompulsif satın almanın finansal iyi olma halinin mevcut finansal durum
boyutu üzerinde negatif bir etkisi bulunmuştur.
