ÇAĞDAŞ ÜRETİM, BÜROKRASİ TÜRÜ VE ÖRGÜTSEL YAPI: BİR PLASTİK İŞLETMESİNDE ÖRNEK OLAY ÇALIŞMASI

Abstract

Bu çalışma, Mintzberg’ün (1980) tanımladığı bürokrasi
türleri ile Lawrence ve Lorsch’un (1967) açıkladığı örgütsel yapı unsurları
arasındaki ilişkiyi çağdaş üretim tekniklerine sahip bir işletmede yapılan
örnek olay çalışmasıyla açıklayabilmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Araştırma, Çukurova
bölgesinde faaliyet gösteren ve plastik atıkları geri dönüştürerek yeniden
plastik üreten bir işletmede yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına işletmede
yapılan yüz yüze görüşmelerle toplanan verilerin analiziyle ulaşılmıştır.
Araştırma bulguları çağdaş üretim teknikleri kullanan işletmenin bazı
unsurlarda basit, bazı unsurlarda ise mekanik bürokrasi özelliğini taşıdığını
göstermektedir. Sonuç olarak Lawrence ve Lorsch’un (1967) açıkladığı şekilde
belirsizlik seviyesi yüksek birimlerde biçimselleşmenin ve merkezileşmenin
azaldığı, belirsizlik seviyesi düşük birimlerde ise arttığı görülmüştür.
