Abstract
Xanthogranulomatous inflammation is a rare form of chronic inflammation which destructs normal tissues of the affected organs. The most frequent manifestations of this inflammation involve the gall bladder and kidneys. It is rarely reported in fallopian tubes. Xanthogranulomatous salpingitis might mimic malignancy by forming massive lesions, progress to systemic inflammation and even result in death. The awareness of this condition is clinically important. This manuscript describes the clinical and histopathological characteristics of two different cases of xanthogranulomatous salpingitis.
