Et-Tavtı’e, Fusûlü’l-Hamse ve Kitâbü’l-Cedel Bağlamında Kıyas Sanatları’ndan Önce Bilinenler Üzerine Fârâbî
Abstract
Bir kitap bölümü olarak yayımlanan bu çalışmada ABD Central College’ta görev yapan felsefe uzmanı yazar Prof. Dr. Terry Kleven Fârâbî’nin mantık eserlerini 17. Yüzyıldan günümüze ulaşan Hamidiye ve Bratislava Yazma Eserler koleksiyonlarında yer alan el yazmaları üzerinden inceleyerek onun mantık külliyatına dair önemli bilgiler vermektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, beş sanat açısından oldukça temel öneme sahip olan ve kıyas sanatlarından önce bilinmesi gerekenler olarak betimlenen meşhûrât, makbûlat, mahsûsât ve makulatı evvel şeklindeki dört temel önerme türünün Fârâbî’nin üç eseri kapsamında ele almak, bunların beş sanatla ilişkisini kurmak ve özellikle cedelde bu öncül türlerinin nasıl işlevsel olduğuna dair bir fikir ortaya koymaktır.
Al-Fârâbî on What Is Known Prior to the Syllogistic Arts in His Introductory Letter, the Five Aphorisms, and the Book of Dialectic
Abstract
In this study, which is published as a book chapter, philosophy expert and writer Professor Dr. Terry Kleven, working at Central College in the USA, examines Fârâbî's logic works through the manuscripts in the Hamidiye and Bratislava Manuscripts collections dating back to the 17th century and provides important information about his logic corpus. The aim of the study is to discuss the four basic proposition types in the form of received, generally accepted, sense based and first intelligibles, which are of fundamental importance in terms of the five syllogistic arts and are described as things that need to be known before five syllogistics arts, within the scope of Fârâbî's three works, to establish their relationship with the five arts, and especially to establish their relationship with these in the art of dialectic. The aim is to provide an idea of how these types are functional.
