Main purpose of this study is to determine the perceptions of administrators and teachers related to diversity management in their schools. Descriptive method has been used in this study. The main population of this study is the administrators and teachers who work in Kadıköy and Kartal townships at national ministry schools. The sampling of this study is 92 administrators and 568 teachers who have been chosen randomly in this population. The study has been conducted quantitively and the data have been gathered by means of “Diversity Management Scale” developed by R.Balay and M.Sağlam (2004). The items were Likert-type and the evaluation has been made five-scale format. The findings have been analyzed with percentage, frequency, mean, t-test and one-way variant analysis (ANOVA) methods. According to the findings obtained in this study, teachers and administrators’ diversity management perceptions are low in all items level. Participation in the items of “Individual attitudes and behaviors” sub-dimension is at medium level; in “institutional values and norms” and “administrational practices and policies” sub-dimensions is low. It has also been found out that there are significant differences between the opinions of the teachers and administrators according to their sex, job title, length of service, educational situation and number of in-service training.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, yönetici ve öğretmenlerin okullarında farklılıkların yönetimine ilişkin algılarını belirlemektir. Araştırmada tarama modeli kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini İstanbul Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü Kadıköy ve Kartal İlçelerinde bulunan okullarda çalışan yönetici ve öğretmenler oluşturmaktadır.
