Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, modern bir maliyet ve karar verme yöntemi olan Kaynak Tüketim Muhasebesi (KTM) yönteminin hizmet işletmesinde uygulanabilirliğini tespit etmek ve KTM ile işletmenin geleneksel yöntemle bulduğu sonuçları karşılaştırarak analiz etmektir. Bu kapsamda, özel bir eğitim kurumunda örnek olay yöntemi kullanılarak KTM yöntemi uygulanmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda KTM yönteminin bir hizmet işletmesi olan özel bir eğitim kurumunda uygulanabilir olduğu, kullanılmayan/atıl kapasite maliyetlerini hesaplayarak birim öğrenci maliyetlerini doğru tespit ettiği ve geleneksel yönteme göre birçok üstünlüğe sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

APPLICATION OF RESOURCE CONSUMPTION ACCOUNTING METHOD IN A PRIVATE EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

Abstract

The aim of this study is to determine the applicability of Resource Consumption Accounting (RCA) method, a modern cost and decision-making method, in the service business and to compare the results obtained by RCA and the traditional method. In this context, the RCA method is applied by using the case study method in a private educational institution, which is a service business. The results show that RCA method is applicable in a private educational institution, correctly determines the unit student costs by calculating the unused capacity costs and has many advantages over the traditional method.
