One of the biggest global problems threatening today's cities is climate change. Events such as natural disasters such as floods, earthquakes, storms, epidemics, which we experience directly or indirectly due to climate change, have adversely affected life in our country and the world in the recent past. This study examines the awareness of the citizens over the age of 18, living in the Fenerbahçe Neighborhood of Kadıköy District of Istanbul, about climate change. As a research method, a questionnaire was applied to 100 randomly selected participants. The survey consists of two parts. In the first part, age, gender, length of residence in the neighborhood, education level, and occupational group are requested. In the second part, multiple choice questions will examine the awareness of climate change. The research is descriptive in nature. Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality and Kadıköy Municipality are at the forefront with their work on climate change. With the research, the reflections of the work of local governments on public awareness can also be seen. It is thought that an increase in individual measures can be achieved by increasing social awareness of this issue. With the logic that societies are made up of individuals, attention is drawn to the measures that can be taken regarding climate change.
