Isolated
closed foot navicular bone dislocation is very rare in the emergency orthopedic
trauma practice and reported as a case report in the literature. It is stated
that it is generally caused as a result of traffic accident by a pronation-abduction mechanism.
Since closed reduction is not successful, it is treated with open reduction and
internal fixation. In this paper, a 28-year-old
patient with a psychiatric problem was presented with the emergence of foot
navicular dislocation. The injury mechanism of the case, treatment and
complications arising in follow-up are discussed, and the related literature
was reviewed.
