Technology, which continues to progress in parallel with the development of humanity, has impacts on individuals. While we can observe these effects clearly by examining the life we live from the focal perspective of technology, it is also possible to do that with the technology-oriented fiction of life that the Black Mirror series conveys to the audience. In this study, the technological determinism approach, which emphasizes that technology is the dominant factor in changes and transformations in life, is discussed on the basis of the Black Mirror series. Within the scope of the study, the episodes of the series titled White Christmas, Arkangel, Smithereens, Striking Vipers and Nosedive, which have various thematic subjects, were focused and analyzed from the perspective of technological determinism. During the process of the research and at the end of it, it was concluded that the Black Mirror series reflects a technological deterministic world fiction and it was tried to be shown that the series contributes to the explanation of the technological determinism approach. Emphasizing that technological developments play a determinative role in individual life, the series presents its audience that technology-oriented life gives birth to a dystopian life. In addition, the series, which emphasizes the effects of technology on the life of individuals in terms of various problems, prompts the audience to think about the effectiveness of technology in the life of individuals with its many thematic topics.
