Aim: The aim is to determine the knowledge, skills, and practices of midwives in the application of electronic fetal monitoring. Method: This research, planned in a phenomenological design, included 12 midwives working in the delivery unit between February and April 2023. The research data were collected through face-to-face interviews using a semi-structured questionnaire by the researchers, following the acquisition of ethical approval and institutional permission. The data were coded using the qualitative data analysis software MaxQDA Analytics Pro. Results: The average age of the midwives was determined to be 25.91±3.84 years, and their average experience in the delivery unit was 3.50±3.26 years. While the midwives were found to have sufficient knowledge regarding the frequency and duration of Electronic Fetal Monitoring application, they had limited knowledge about the purpose of Electronic Fetal Monitoring application, early, late, and variable decelerations, sinusoidal pattern definitions, and intervention situations. Conclusion: It has been determined that midwives have limited knowledge, skills, and practices in the application of Electronic Fetal Monitoring. It is recommended that continuous in-service training be provided and evaluated for midwives on the purpose of Electronic Fetal Monitoring application, early, late, and variable decelerations, sinusoidal pattern definitions, and intervention situations.
