Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Duke’ Çeşidinde Kromozom Katlama Çalışmaları

Abstract
Maviyemiş (Vaccinium sp.), çok yıllık yaprak döken çalıların Ericaceae ailesine aittir. Sağlık açısından çok yararlı olması, birim alandan yüksek gelir getirmesi, her yerde yetişmemesi ve talebinin giderek artmasından dolayı çok değerli bir meyvedir. Dünyada maviyemiş çeşitlerinin üretimi ve kullanım alanları hızla artmakla birlikte son yıllarda ülkemizde de yetiştiriciliği ve farkındalığı artışa geçmiştir. Çalışmamızda ticari olarak satın alınan Vaccinium corymbosum ‘Duke’ çeşidine ait meyveler temizlenip tohumları çıkarılmıştır. Bu tohumlara 1 ay veya 2 ay süreyle soğuk katlama ardından belirli doz ve sürelerde kolhisin uygulanarak tetraploid (2n=4x=48) olan kromozom sayısını ikiye katlama amaçlanmıştır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda 60 günlük soğuk katlama süresinin ve 500-1000 ppm arası kolhisin uygulamasının bu bitkideki uygun doz ve süresi olduğu belirlenmiştir.

Chromosome Doubling Studies in Vaccinium corymbosum 'Duke' Species

Abstract
Blueberry (Vaccinium sp.) belongs to the Ericaceae family of perennial deciduous shrubs. It is a very valuable fruit due to its health programming, high income from the unit area, not growing everywhere and end of use. Although the production and usage areas for blue are increasing rapidly in the world, it has been comprehensive, including the last screening. In our study, it was grown and extracted from the fruits of commercially purchased Vaccinium corymbosum 'Duke' cultivars. It was aimed to double the number of chromosomes which are tetraploid (2n=4x=48) by applying colchicine at certain doses and times after stratification for 1 month or 2 months. As a result of the study, it was determined that the stratification period of 60 days and the application of colchicine between 500-1000 ppm were the appropriate dose and duration in this plant.
