The main purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between workaholism and individual happiness. In accordance with this purpose the level of workaholism and individual happiness of the tourism academicians working in Turkey have been tried to be measured using two different scales. In this context; DUWAS scale was used to measure workaholism and the Oxford Happiness Scale was used to measure individual happiness. A total of 119 tourism academicians were reached via e-mail and a questionnaire was applied. After the survey is implemented, the data that were taken into consideration were analyzed by using the frequency and percentage values to determine the general characteristics of the academicians. The results obtained from the surveys were subjected to various analyzes with the aid of appropriate statistical methods. According to the research findings; it is possible to say that the level of workaholism, in terms of both the general workaholism and workaholism sub-dimensions, and the level of individual happiness of tourism academicians were at a level just above the average. On the other hand; it was found that there was a significant but weak relationship between the level of workaholism and the level of individual happiness of tourism academicians. In this study the relationship between the workaholism and individual happiness levels and some demographic variables (gender, marital status, having a child, working status of spouse, age group, title and professional experience) were also investigated. According to this there is no significant difference in terms of workaholism according to the variables of gender, marital status, having a child, working status of spouse, age group, title and professional experience. When an evaluation is made in terms of individual happiness levels of academicians while there is no significant difference according to the working status of spouse, title and professional experience variables, it is determined that there is a significant difference according to having a child and age group variables.
