Schools are private institutions that provide the enlightenment of societies and whose input and output are human. Since exclusion reduces the energy and effectiveness of schools, social phenomena such as exclusion should be understood well. In this research, it is aimed to describe the phenomenon of exclusion in schools, its reasons and affects, and to put forward suggestions for coping with the problems that arise as a result of exclusion which are based on the experiences of teachers and school administrators working in secondary schools who are affiliated to the Ministry of National Education. The participants of the research consist of 15 teachers and five school administrators working in secondary schools in Aydın province in the 2020-2021 academic year. The research was carried out according to the phenomenology design which is one of the qualitative research designs. The data was collected with the interview form developed by the researchers and analyzed with the content analysis method. According to the findings, exclusion is mostly seen as not being accepted into the group and being ignored. It is mainly applied among teachers and from the administrator to the teacher. It is also seen from the teacher to the administrator. Among the reasons for exclusion, factors such as trade union divisions, differences in worldviews, and unfair school management come to the fore. While asking for appointment is the most used method to cope with exclusion, organizational and individual effects such as poor performance, unhappiness, and psychological problems are seen. In order to prevent exclusion at school, a fair and tolerant school administration, social activities to be held in the school and studies aimed at improving the organizational culture come to the fore is given suggestions.
