Abstract
The game, which has an important place in the personal, social and psychomotor development of individuals, has a value that cannot be ignored in terms of children's development. The first years of life, in which the physical and biological growth of preschool children is rapid, are called the critical period and have a positive/negative effect on the future lives of children. In this period when basic skills are acquired, it is necessary to support and follow the development of children and to know the factors affecting their development. It is known that the game reinforces these skills and accelerates learning in the acquisition of motor skills seen in children's basic mobility periods. In this study, the theoretical analysis of the effects of children's games on the motor development of children in the preschool period was made. In the research, the literature related to the field was used, and based on the results obtained from the studies, it was revealed that children's games in the preschool period have important contributions to the motor development of children.
