Sosyal Girişimciliği Kadın Bağlamında Yeniden Düşünmek: Samsun’dan Girişimci Örnekleri

Abstract

İnsan, varoluşundan bu yana her geçen gün yeni bir sorunla karşılaşmaktadır. Bu sorunlardan biri olan toplumsal sorunların ortadan kaldırılması veya bu sorunlara çözüm üretilmesine yönelik faaliyetler yürüten; amacı sosyal etki yaratarak sosyal refahı sağlamak ve kar amacı gütmeyen veya karı bu sosyal hizmetin amacına ulaşması için kullanan girişimcilik faaliyetleri sosyal girişimcilik olarak adlandırılmaktadır. Bu kavram yeni bir kavram olarak görülse de uzun yıllardan itibaren sosyal girişimciler sorunların giderilmesi için çaba göstermektedir. Birçok alanda sosyal girişim örneklerine rastlamak mümkündür.
Çalışmanın amacı, Samsun’da kadın konusunda çalışmaları bulunan sosyal girişimcilerin faaliyetlerini sosyolojik boyutlarıyla ve kadın bağlamında incelemektir. Nitel araştırma yöntemiyle ürütülen çalışmada, Samsun ilinde faaliyetleri bulunan üç sosyal girişimciyle derinlemesine görüşmeler yapılmış, bu görüşmeler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır.
Çalışma sonucunda katılımcılar, öz olarak, kadının refahına yönelik sosyal girişimciliği, toplumsal cinsiyet eşitsizliğiyle mücadele olarak görmekte olduklarını, bunun ise kadının istihdam olanaklarını eğitim yoluyla güçlendirmeye yönelik proje ve aktivizmlerle sonuca ulaşabileceğini belirtmişlerdir.

Rethinking Social Entrepreneurship within the Context of Women: Entrepreneur Samples from Samsun

Abstract

As human, we have faced each day with a new problem since our existence. Social entrepreneurship means carrying out activities to eliminate social problems, which are one of these problems, or to find solutions to these problems with the aim to provide social welfare by creating social impact and non-profit or using profit to achieve the purpose of this social service. Although this concept is seen as a new concept, social entrepreneurs have been trying to solve the problems for many years. It is possible to come across examples of social enterprises in many areas.
The aim of the study is to examine the activities of social entrepreneurs who have studies on women in Samsun from sociological dimensions and in the context of women. This qualitative research, in-depth interviews were conducted with three social entrepreneurs operating in Samsun, and these interviews were collected through a semi-structured interview form.
As a result of the study, the participants stated that they consider social entrepreneurship for women's welfare as the fight against gender inequality, and that this can be achieved with projects and activisms aiming at strengthening women's employment opportunities through education.
