Minimally invasive transthoracic repaired Morgagni hernia: A case repor

Year 2023, Volume: 40 Issue: 3, 669 - 671, 30.09.2023

Abstract

Morgagni hernia is a rare congenital diaphragmatic hernia and constitutes 2-4% of all diaphragmatic hernias. It can be asymptomatic or cause symptoms such as cough, shortness of breath and retrosternal pain. The evaluation of thorax by Chest X-Ray and computed tomography are sufficient for diagnosis. The only option in treatment is surgery. In this study, we aimed to present the minimally invasive surgical treatment of a patient who applied to our clinic with right chest pain and was diagnosed with Morgagni hernia.
