Hemşirelerin ve Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Bilişim Teknolojilerini Kullanma Durumları

Year 2018, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 18 - 27, 30.12.2018

Abstract

Veriler SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Sciences)
20.0 programı kullanılarak analiz edildi.

Bulgular: Araştırma kapsamındaki kişilerin yaş ortalaması 26.8±8.8’dir.  Katılımcıların %96.1’i akıllı telefona sahip

The Use of Information Technologies by Nurses and Nursing Students

Year 2018, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 18 - 27, 30.12.2018

Abstract

Objective:
The developments in information technology increase the accessibility of
information and speed upsharing. In this research, it was aimed to determine
the use of information technology for nursing student and nurses to access
information.

Method: The
sample of the descriptive study consisted of 172 nursing students and 102
nurses working in a university hospital. The data were collected by the
questionnaire developed by the researchers and the "Scale of Utilizing Information
Technologies". Data were analyzed using the (Statistical Package for
Social Sciences) 20.0 program.

Results: The
average age of persons included study was 26.8±8.8. 96.1% of respondents said
that they had a smartphone and 91.2% said that they use thephone as a means of
accessing information. It was determined that the average scores of the nursing
student were higher than the nurses in all the subscales of the utilization of
information technologies. It was found that this difference was statistically
significant in getting information, self-expression,  game entertainment (p <0.0001),
communication (p = 0.004) and not significant in there search and analysis
sub-dimension (p = 0.400).

Conclusion: Smartphones
is the information technology products, which is most commonly used by nurses
and nursing students to obtain information. The use of information technology
for communication and getting informatio are more common among nursing students
than nurses.
