Abstract
Landing gear is one of the most important components of the aircraft. Among the tasks of the landing gear is to carry the loads coming on the aircraft, damping the impact at the time of landing and allow the aircraft to taxi. The landing gear consists of the main landing gear and the nose landing gear. The main landing gear and nose landing gear also consist of subcomponents in themselves. In this study, an optimization study was performed for the fork part, which is one of the lower components of the nose landing gear. The purpose of optimization is to improve performance and design, to lighten, to reduce the amount of chips and process energy. By giving the necessary boundary conditions for the optimization work of the fork part, the analysis was carried out in the ANSYS Workbench program. After the optimization, the fork structure was verified by comparing the stress and deformations formed in the analysis study with the results before optimization, and the weight was reduced by creating structural changes.
