Sürdürülebilirlik ve Liderlik İlişkisi: Üniversitelerde ve Uygulamalarda Neler Yapılabilir? Teorik Bir Değerlendirme

Abstract

Bu makale, sürdürülebilirlik ve liderlik arasındaki ilişkiyi teorik bir bakış açısıyla inceleyerek, özellikle üniversitelerde ve uygulamalarda neler yapılabileceğine dair bir değerlendirme sunmaktadır. Makalede ilk olarak, sürdürülebilirlik ve liderlik kavramları ayrı ayrı ele alınarak, bu iki önemli faktör arasındaki ilişkinin önemi vurgulanmaktadır. Sürdürülebilirlik, kurumların çevresel, ekonomik ve sosyal boyutlarda sorumluluk almasını gerektiren bir perspektife işaret ederken, liderlik ise bu sorumlulukları etkili bir şekilde yönetme ve yönlendirme sürecini kapsamaktadır. Makale, özellikle üniversitelerin sürdürülebilirlik ve liderlik konularında nasıl bir rol üstlenebileceğini ele almaktadır. Bu bağlamda, üniversitelerin eğitim, araştırma ve yönetim süreçlerinde sürdürülebilirlik ilkelerini nasıl entegre edebileceği ve liderlik vasıflarını nasıl geliştirebileceği tartışılmaktadır. Ayrıca, bu kurumların toplumlarına öncülük ederek sürdürülebilirlikle ilgili bilinç ve uygulamaları nasıl yaygınlaştırabileceği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Makalenin son bölümünde, sürdürülebilirlik ve liderlikle ilgili teorik çerçeveler ışığında, bu kavramları pratiğe nasıl dönüştürebileceğimize dair öneriler sunulmaktadır. Bu öneriler, kurumların sürdürülebilirlik hedeflerine ulaşmada ve liderlik rollerini daha etkili bir şekilde yerine getirmede yardımcı olacak stratejileri içermektedir..

The Relationship between Sustainability and Leadership: A Theoretical Evaluation in Terms of What Can Be Done at Universities and Practices

Abstract

This article provides a theoretical perspective on the relationship between sustainability and leadership, offering an evaluation of what can be done, particularly in universities and practical applications. Firstly, the concepts of sustainability and leadership are separately discussed, emphasizing the significance of the relationship between these two crucial factors. Sustainability implies an organizational perspective that requires responsibility in environmental, economic, and social dimensions, while leadership encompasses the effective management and guidance of these responsibilities. The article specifically addresses the role that universities can play in sustainability and leadership. In this context, the integration of sustainability principles into educational, research, and management processes at universities and the development of leadership qualities are discussed. Additionally, the article focuses on how these institutions can lead their communities in promoting awareness and practices related to sustainability. In the final section of the article, recommendations are provided on how to translate the theoretical frameworks of sustainability and leadership into practice. These suggestions include strategies that will assist institutions in achieving sustainability goals and effectively fulfilling leadership roles.
