1. KAVRAMSAL ÇERÇEVE
Women's job involvement rates are lower than men all over the world. Main reason is that women have more domestic responsibilities which are exposed to them traditionally by their society. With the active involvement of women in professional life, it has been a common argument how to share the family responsibilities and how to solve the work-family conflict. Working women who strive to fulfill their family responsibilities together with their job responsibilities become unhappy day by day. It is difficult to resolve such a conflict without an institutional support. Thus, some organizations have started to carry out family friendly policies to help their employees in balancing their work and family life. Studies show that Implementations such as flexible working hours and part-time job options increase women employees’ motivation, job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Thus family friendly policies have positive effects on organizations and societies as well employees. In this context, we argue that family-friendly policies should be developed in accordance with the social and cultural structure of our country and these policies should be encouraged by the government.
