Abstract
There are hundreds of events that have historical importance in terms of Islamic history and sirah and still maintain their critical value. These events are in the position of masterpieces of history itself. The Prophet’s, spread of Islam, the strategies he followed in the troubles he was exposed to, the tortures inflicted on Muslims in Mecca, etc. all of which are included in this mentioned point. From this point, another event whose importance has been confirmed is the migration to Medina. The Prophet’s migration to Medina has also managed to attract a lot of attention in terms of political, social and cultural aspects. For all that, it seems possible to express the Ansar from Medina, who accepted the Prophet and the Muslims of Mecca, as the chief architect of this migration activity. Both their characteristic features and their psychological state come to the fore in making such a decision. There were people among the Ansar who supported this decision of migration, but whose names were not prominent in history. One of these names was Abdallah b. Amr b. Haram, the leader of Bani Salama. In this essay, his life, personality and attitude in political events will be examined. Abdallah b. Amr, who played an active role in the spread of Islam in Medina and was in close contact with the Prophet in terms of politics. Amr attracted attention in terms of the decisions he made and the events he witnessed. Taking into account the early works, the historical personality of the Abdallah b. Amr will be examined and some problematic events attributed to him will be tried to kept light on.
