SOSYAL SERMAYEDEN SPORTİF SERMAYEYE

Abstract

Bu
çalışmanın amacı sermaye kavramının sportif sermaye kavramına dönüşümünü
incelemektir. Çalışmanın verileri kaynak taraması ile elde edilmiştir. Sermaye
kavramı ilk olarak ekonomik bir varlık olarak tanımlanmış, daha sonra sosyal
sermaye ve sportif sermaye kavramı ileri sürülmüştür. Sosyal sermaye kavramı
ile ilgili yapılan tanımlamalarda “Neyi bildiğin değil, kimi tanıdığın
önemlidir” düşüncesi temel alınmıştır. Sosyal sermaye teorisinde en önemli
nokta iletişim ağlarıdır. Sosyal sermaye her yerde; ailelerde, arkadaşlıkta,
mahallelerde, iş ortamında, kulüplerde veya sosyal hayatın dokusunda
bulunabilir. Sosyal sermaye ile ilgilenenler için, spor ve spor kulüpleri
çalışmaları giderek daha fazla çalışma alanı olarak ele alınmaya başlanmıştır.
Spora katılmak (özellikle spor kulüplerinde) doğası gereği, bazen sosyal
sermayenin oluşturulması için bir alan olarak görülür. Spor, sosyal sermayenin
gelişimine ve korunmasına yardımcı olur. Spora katılımı belirleyen faktörler sosyal,
psikolojik ve fizyolojik (fiziksel sağlık ve fiziksel yeterlik) olarak üçe
ayrılmıştır. Bir araya geldiklerinde bu üç alan kişinin spor sermayesini
oluşturur. Sportif sermaye, bireye spor yapmayı ve bu katılımı zamanla
sürdürmeyi destekleyen ve motive eden fizyolojik, sosyal ve psikolojik
nitelikler ve yeterlilikler stoku olarak tanımlanır. Bireyin spor sermayesi
düzeyi, yaşadığı sosyo-kültürel bağlamda çerçevelendirilir ve şekillendirilir. Spor
sermayesi, beşeri sermaye gibi eğitim, aile, akran grubu, öğretmenler,
antrenörler, liderler (diğerlerini etkileyen), medya, tüketim ile ilgili
pazarlama ve promosyon gibi unsurlar tarafından belirlenen sosyo-kültürel
normlarla elde edilir.
