Abstract
Afghanistan is one of the countries that have not yet completed its cadastral works and there are important deficiency in this area. Due to the absence of a systematic, under state guaranty and and transparent land registration system in Afghanistan, there are disputes and land usurps. During recent years, the gorvernment of Afghanistan has decided for land registration and some progress have been started related to cadastre.
In order to register all the lands in Afghanistan, an applicable transparent and open cadastral system is required to meet the demands in this area. To achieve this goal, implementation of successful cadastral systems of other countries and particularly Turkey, is being monitored. The cadastre 2014 directives, published by the International Federation of Surveyors (FIG), can be considered as a roadmap for solving existing land problems in Afghanistan. In this study, the Afghanistan current cadastral system has been examined within the scope of the cadastre 2014 principles. In addition, which approaches, applications and solutions are required for the implementation of the cadastre 2014 principles in Afghanistan.
