Investigation of The Relationship Between Premenstrual Syndrome and Covid-19 Psychological Distress in Nursing Students

Abstract

ÖZET:
Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı Covid-19 salgınında hemşirelik bölümü öğrencilerinde PMS ve Covid-19 ile ilişkili psikilojik sıkıntı arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırma kesitsel tipte olup 10-20 Nisan 2021 tarihlerinde gerçekleştirildi. Toplam 131 öğrenciye ulaşıldı.
Bulgular: Öğrencilerin %77,9'unda PMS vardı. Pandemi sırasında öğrencilerin %15,3'ü PMS şikayetlerinin süresinin arttığını ve %22,0'si PMS şikayetlerinin şiddetinin arttığını bildirdi.
Sonuç: Pandemi sürecinde öğrencilerin menstruasyon özelliklerinde ve PMS şikayetlerinde olumsuz değişiklikler olduğu tespit edildi. Salgının olası fiziksel ve psikolojik etkilerine karşı alınabilecek önlemlerin belirlenmesi ve güçlendirilmesi önerilebilir.
