He was born in Muş. He completed his undergraduate education at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, his master's degree at İnönü University Institute of Social Sciences and his doctorate at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences in 2016 with the thesis ‘Power, Market and Technostructure in John Kenneth Galbraith's Thought’. In 2020, Levent, who became an associate professor, is currently a faculty member at Bursa Uludağ University, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, Department of Economics. He continues his studies in the fields of political economy, institutional economics and economic methodology.
He was born on 25 May 1983 in Dimetoka, Greece. In 2006, he graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Theology. He completed his postgraduate education at Marmara University in 2014 and received his doctorate degree in Islamic law. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at Sakarya University Faculty of Theology. His research interests include foundation law and history, classical-modern fiqh thought, late Ottoman legal thought and Islamic economics. Purpose in Waqf: A Research in the Framework of Hanafi Waqf Law, 40 Questions on Waqf, and The Literature of Islamic Law Studies in Turkey (1928-2012), as well as published articles and book translations.
In 2010, he graduated from Sakarya University Faculty of Theology. In 2013, he completed his master's degree at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences, Philosophy and Religious Sciences with his thesis titled ‘Şerhu'l-Ahlâq al-Adûdiyye (Text and Evaluation)’. Between 2012-2019, he worked as a researcher at İlke Foundation; he took part in the development and execution of various projects. Between 2013-2017, he worked as the deputy coordinator of the ‘Islamic Ethical Thought Project’, which was carried out in partnership with İlke-İlem and under the direction of Ömer Türker. Tiryaki, whose research interests include Avicennan natural philosophy and the theory of becoming, theoretical and practical perfection, and ethics, is currently preparing his doctoral thesis titled ‘The Concept of Force and Isti'dād in Avicenna's Natural Philosophy’ at Istanbul University.
Graduating in 1999 from Galatasaray High School, Mustafa Islamoğlu graduated from the Department of Economics at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University in 2006. He completed his PhD at Istanbul University Institute of Social Sciences with his thesis titled ‘Rationality in Adam Smith’. He is currently a lecturer at Bandırma Onyedi Eylül University, Department of Economics and head of the Department of Economic History.
He was born in 1968 in Gümüşhane. He graduated from Marmara University Faculty of Law (1992). He became a research assistant at Atatürk University Erzincan Faculty of Law (1993). He received his master's degree from Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences Public Law Programme with the thesis titled ‘Two Dimensions of the Contemporary State: Emancipation and Privatisation’ at Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences Public Law Programme (1994) and completed his master's degree with the thesis titled “Political Participation in Turkey within the Framework of the 1982 Constitution” (1998). In 2004, he became an associate professor and in 2009 he became a professor. He focused his studies on State Theory and Human Rights. He published books titled Feodaliteden Küreselleşmeye Ekonomik İktidar Siyasal İktidar İlişkisi (Seçkin Yayınları, 2003) and Sanayi Devriminden Küreselleşmeye Sosyal Haklar (Oniki Levha Yayınları, 2009). Globalisation and Turkey: The Development of the State in Turkey (Seçkin Y., 2007) and General Public Law (M. Akad/B. Dinçkol, Der Y., 2011). He has articles published in various journals. In 2011, he joined Istanbul Şehir University Faculty of Law.
Born in 1961 in Istanbul. He graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Business Administration in 1982. He received his master's degree in Marketing in 1984 and his doctorate degree in 1991 from Istanbul University. He worked in the private sector between 1986-1996. Between 1996-1999, he worked as an assistant professor at Kırıkkale University, Department of Business Administration. He continued his academic career at Eskişehir Osmangazi University, Department of Business Administration between 1999-2012. In 2002, he became an associate professor and in 2007 he became a professor.
Prof. Dr. Ömer Torlak has published books and book chapters on marketing and business ethics, as well as many articles published in national and international journals and many papers presented in national and international congresses and symposiums. His publications received many citations.
He served as the Rector of KTO Karatay University between 2012-2015 and as the President of the Competition Authority between 2015-2019. He served as a member of the Scientific Board of TUBITAK between 2016-2018. Torlak, who is currently continuing his academic studies at Istanbul Commerce University Faculty of Business Administration, served as the Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration between 2020-2023. On 19 January 2023, he was appointed as Acting Rector by the Board of Trustees. With the decision published in the Official Gazette dated 6 June 2023, he was appointed to this position as a principal.
