Abstract
Metaverse, a concept that is frequently mentioned by huge technology companies, analysts and especially by the professionals who are in neuromarketing and media field, draws atten-tion with its potential to be the most notable revolution after internet. The conceptual scope of Metaverse seems unlimited. These new technologies cover the universe, our homes, our cities, our workplaces and even the solar system. Besides, Metaverse is not just about virtual worlds; it represents a universe where the physical things turns something virtual through digital twins and mirror worlds by augmented reality, tactility and 3D printing. All social, eco-nomic and cultural experiences will also have a place in the Metaverse which will reach its true potential with essential investments. Although today's digital nomads stand aloof from this new ground than digital natives, the integration of physical and virtual worlds seems inevitable at the end of the day. In addition, as new distances are covered in artificial intelligence studies, it is seen that human-machine collaboration is mentioned more frequently. In a possible situ- ation, privacy and ethical debates will become much more visible in a world where the coexis- tence of two types of intelligence is experienced. When today's technology-oriented problems is considered, it is predicted that the problem of comprehensive laws and regulations that may respond to needs will be among the topics that await an urgent solution in the future's Me- taverse ecosystem. It is expected that the acts of governments and lawmakers in this regard will be decisive on the new freedom, privacy and ethical debates. In this study, the concept of Metaverse, which is the last stage of the technology of virtual reality, is explained in an evolutionary view and in the context of literature, it is tried to contribute to the phenomenon, which is the focus of recent discussions.
