Virtual reality technologies are gradually developing themselves as a result of digital transformation and can be included in many fields. As a result of the penetration of this technology into journalism, different types of narratives have emerged. Immersive journalism is one of the mentioned narrative genres. The word immersive is used in different meanings such as spiral, enveloping, three-dimensional, but when evaluated together with journalism, it cannot be found in Turkish. For this reason, the commonly preferred term immersive journalism was used in the study. This type of journalism, which is realized in line with the possibilities offered by virtual reality technologies, mainly consists of images that allow viewing with 360°. In this context, Euronews and The New York Times, which create their news with 360° images, were examined in this study, and the news videos uploaded by both news channels on YouTube were evaluated by content analysis method. As a result
of the study, it has been determined that 360° news videos are mainly given on culture, art and travel, the frequency of uploading 360° news videos by the media has changed over the years, and both media present their news at similar times.
