Psychosocial Effects of Terrorism and the Roles of a Social Worker

Abstract
This review aims to highlight the psychosocial
effects of terrorism and to discuss to the general framework of social work
practice, including micro-mezzo and egzo-macro level intervention processes in
terrorism, with reference to the phases of the planned change process. In order
to achieve this purpose, the concepts of terrorism and terrorism are first
explained. Secondly, the psychosocial effects of terror attacks are discussed
looking at the individual effects, and on the effects on disadvantaged groups,
and on the titles of family and community context. Then, the structure of
social work intervention responding the terrorism is discussed. The article was
compiled from the existing literature using the secondary data. It was terminated
with general conclusion and suggestions. Social work is a human rights
profession. It begins by addressing basic human needs. It proceeds to solve the
psychosocial problems of the victims. There is a growing range of
responsibilities to terrorism as well as initiatives that promote social
cohesion and consciousness.
