Geçici Eğitim Merkezindeki Suriye Uyruklu Öğrencilerin ve Türkçe Öğreticilerin Storyjumper Deneyimleri: “Yamen Okulda”

Abstract

Bilişim teknolojisinin hızla gelişimi bilgiye ulaşma yollarını da yeniden yapılandırmıştır. Günümüzde, yeni neslin öğrenmeye olan ilgisi ve ihtiyacı da çağın gereklerine göre değişmekte ve eğitim teknolojilerindeki uygulamalar da artmaktadır. Bu uygulamalardan biri de Web 2.0 araçlarından Storyjumper adındaki dijital hikaye kitabıdır. Bilindiği üzere 2011 yılında Suriye’de başlayan iç savaş sebebi ile Türkiye’ye milyonlarca Suriye uyruklu kişi göç etmiştir. Yabancı uyruklu öğrencilerin eğitimlerini devam edebilmelerini sağlamak amacı ile Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından geçici eğitim merkezleri açılmıştır. Araştırma, Hatay ilinde geçici koruma kapsamındaki Suriye uyruklu öğrencilerin öğrenim gördüğü bir geçici eğitim merkezinde gerçekleşmiştir. Araştırma öncesinde, katılımcı öğreticiler tarafından katılımcı öğrenciler ile birlikte “Yamen Okulda” başlıklı dijital hikâye kitabı hazırlanmıştır. Bu kitap, geçici koruma kapsamındaki bir Suriyeli öğrencinin geçici eğitim merkezindeki yaşamını anlatmaktadır. Araştırmanın katılımcıları Suriye uyruklu öğrenciler ve onlara Türkçe öğreten Türkçe öğreticileridir. Araştırma, Storyjumper uygulamasında hazırlanan “Yamen Okulda” başlıklı dijital hikaye kitabı ile ilgili katılımcıların öğrenme ve öğretme deneyimlerini betimlemeyi amaçlamaktadır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden fenomenoloji deseni ile yürütülen bu araştırmada dijital hikaye anlatımının Türkçe öğrenme ve öğretme sürecine etkisi araştırılmıştır. Fenomenolojik çalışmalarda veri analizi, katılımcıların deneyimlerini ve anlamlarını ortaya çıkarmayı amaçlamaktadır. Araştırmada fenomeni tanımlayabilecek temaları ortaya çıkarmak için içerik analizi yapılmıştır. Bu analizden elde edilen bulgular açıklayıcı bir biçimde sunulmuş ve araştırmacı, görüşmelerden gelen doğrudan alıntılara bulgularda yer vermiştir. Araştırma sonucunda, dijital hikaye kitabının Türkçe öğrenme ve öğretme sürecinde birçok olumlu etkisi olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca, uygulamanın kullanımına ilişkin oluşabilecek engel durumlar katılımcılar tarafından betimlenmiş ve uygulama ile ilgili öneriler sunulmuştur.
