Nowadays, the existence and use of technology has become inevitable in preschool age; it has also reached its highest level with COVID 19. Therefore, educators and researchers agree that the content watched by preschool age groups is important. In this study, it is aimed to examine the frequency of values education in the content of cartoons that are watched a lot by children. For the study, the cartoons “Smart Rabbit Momo” and “Pırıl” were selected. In these cartoons, Minister of National Education and designated by UNESCO; justice, friendship, honesty, self-control, patience, love, responsibility, respect, cooperation, freedom, happiness, humility, peace, patriotism, charity, tolerance, unity and simplicity, the values of frequency were investigated. The research is organized in a qualitative pattern. The 10 most watched episodes of the cartoons “Smart Rabbit Momo” and “Pırıl” by children on the YouTube platform were discussed and a total of 20 episodes were examined. Content analysis was carried out in the study, videos were watched separately by the two researchers in the study, and then the findings were compared. As a result, it was concluded that the cartoon “Smart Rabbit Momo” has a value of 91 units in the 10 most watched episodes by children; a total of 93 units were included in the 10 episodes examined in “Pırıl”. When looking at the data of the cartoon content called “Smart Rabbit Momo” and “Pırıl”, it was seen that the values set by the Ministry of Education and UNESCO were included.
Günümüzde, teknolojinin varlığı ve kullanımı okul öncesi dönemde kaçınılmaz bir hâle gelmiş; COVID 19 ile birlikte de en yüksek seviyeye ulaşmıştır. Bu nedenle, eğitimciler ve araştırmacılar okul öncesi dönem yaş gruplarının izlediği içeriklerin önemli olduğu konusunda hemfikirdirler. Bu araştırmada, çocuklar tarafından çok izlenen çizgi filmlerin içeriğinde değerler eğitimine yer verilme sıklığının incelemesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma için, Türkiye’de en çok izlenen kanallardan biri olan TRT Çocuk kanalında yayınlanan ve izlenmesi çok olup üzerinde daha önce çalışma yapılmamış olan “Akıllı Tavşan Momo” ve “Pırıl” isimli çizgi filmler seçilmiştir. Bu çizgi filmlerde, MEB ve UNESCO tarafından belirlenen; adalet, dostluk, dürüstlük, özdenetim, sabır, sevgi, sorumluluk, saygı, iş birliği, özgürlük, mutluluk, alçakgönüllülük, barış, vatanseverlik, yardımseverlik, hoşgörü, birlik ve sadelik değerlerinin sıklığı incelenmiştir. Araştırma nitel desende düzenlenmiştir. ‘‘Akıllı Tavşan Momo’’ ve ‘‘Pırıl’’ isimli çizgi filmlerin YouTube platformu üzerinden çocuklar tarafından en çok izlenen 10’ar bölümü ele alınarak, toplamda 20 bölüm incelenmiştir. Çalışmada içerik analizi yapılmış, araştırmada bulunan iki araştırmacı tarafından videolar ayrı ayrı izlenerek, sonrasında bulgular karşılaştırılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, “Akıllı Tavşan Momo” isimli çizgi filmin çocuklar tarafından en çok izlenen 10 bölümünde 91 adet değere; Pırıl’da incelenen 10 bölümde toplam 93 adet değere yer verildiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. “Akıllı Tavşan Momo ve Pırıl” isimli çizgi film içeriklerinin verilerine bakıldığında MEB ve UNESCO tarafından belirlenen değerlere yer verildiği görülmüştür.
