Health and geography are intrinsically linked. Even the place where you were born, lived, worked and the line of work directly or indirectly affects health. The living area, the inhaled air, the eaten food, the exposed viruses and the accessible health services in the area affect health positively or negatively. Spatial location plays an important role in shaping environmental risks as well as the mentioned effects. At this point, health geography plays an important role in locating health services, determining public health strategies or monitoring epidemics. Health geography is a field of geography that develops methods and models on the emergence of the disease using the principles of geography in the fight against diseases that occur as a result of the interaction of people with spatial. The aims of health geography; to guide the geographical planning of health services in order to protect human health regarding the spatial distribution of diseases and their relationship with spatial, the causes, prognosis, effects and consequences of diseases on people. This geography branch has been focusing on the interaction of environment and health since ancient times; Today, the global epidemic of diseases has increased its importance even more. The geography of health; It guides health planning studies in order to distinguish diseases that develop depending on geographical conditions, to determine the factors that cause disease, to minimize health problems, to optimize individuals' benefit from health institutions and organizations, and to contribute to public health. Health geography and public health fields are separate branches of science that work in conjunction with each other and try to understand and explain the effects of environmental and geographical features on health. In this review study, health geography has been explained from a public health perspective.
