Abstract
Enerji ihtiyacının gün geçtikçe arttığı günümüzde, globalleşmenin de etkisiyle enerji ihtiyacının karşılanması amacıyla enterkonnekte güç sistemleri oluşturulmuştur. Güç sistemlerinde kontrol edilmesi gereken en önemli parametrelerden biri ise frekanstır. Enterkonnekte güç sistemlerinde herhangi bir güç sistem alanında meydana gelecek bir yük değişimi, bağlantı halinde olan diğer güç sistem alanlarının da frekans ve güç yönünden etkilenmesine neden olmaktadır. Bu nedenle yük frekans kontrolü problemi güç sistemleri için en önemli konulanlardan birisi olup bu makalede de önemli kontrolörlerden biri olan ve birçok sistemde uygulanan PID kontrolörün iki bölgeli güç sistemlerindeki performansı incelenmiş, MATLAB-Simulink ortamında modelleme ve simülasyonları yapılarak sonuçlar karşılaştırılmıştır.

Abstract
Nowadays, power needs continuously increase in global world, so interconnected power systems are established for these requirements. Frequency is one of the most important parameter in power systems. In the event of the fact that a load change is made a power system area in an interconnected power systems, power and frequncy changes in the other power system areas. Thus, load frequency control (LFC) problem has been one of the most important issues in the electric power systems. This paper presents a solution to load frequency control (LFC) problem using PID controllers. The study has been designed for two area power system. Modelling and simulation studies made in MATLAB-Simulink platform was compared with the other studies.
