Abstract

Abstract

The need for manpower in the defense industry, which has a fast and dynamic work pace, is increasing day by day. While companies are producing fast and meticulously, taking occupational safety precautions, giving importance to occupational health and ergonomically correct planning of the environments where the personnel can work efficiently help the company to develop in the sector. Scheduling, taking into account ergonomic risks, reduces occupational diseases and work accidents, reduces the necessary labor costs and increases the productivity of the employees. In this study, the ergonomic personnel scheduling problem was carried out for a total of 60 personnel in a company that is a sub-supplier of the defense industry. In the study, the competencies and special requests of the operators on the machines were determined and a mathematical model was established. Then, the tasks in the departments were determined and the ergonomic risk values of the tasks were calculated with the REBA method. Using the obtained risk values, a mathematical model was established to minimize the total risk score in assignment to tasks, and two mathematical models were solved in the ILOG CPLEX Studio IDE program, and monthly work schedules were obtained considering ergonomic risks for the employees.
