In the context of its national security, Ukraine's perpetual rhetoric and intention to become a NATO member led to Russia's extensive military intervention in February 2022. Western states, on the other hand, have introduced economic sanctions targeting Russia including energy sector. Although one of the goals is to reduce dependency on Russia, especially the natural gas crisis has deepened more in Europe. That is why European states accelerated to seek sustainable and reliable new alternatives to avoid a similar energy security risk in the future. In this respect, the Caspian Basin, which has rich natural gas deposits, stands out. Especially with the stable structure of Turkey, which is a transit country between the two regions, the investments to be made in the region can be increased. In this study, it is questioned how the interdependence between Europe and the Caspian Basin can be increased in the context of pipeline diplomacy, to what extent the natural gas resource in the region can contribute to European energy security and what role Turkey can play as a bridge between two regions.
