A large part of the fly ash formed in thermal
power plants is stored in ash dams. The amount of metal / heavy metal in the
contents of the stored ash is very high and poses an environmental risk.
Studies about fly ashes is mostly concerned with the use in agricultural,
construction and other industries. Within the scope of this study, firstly fly
ash sample was obtained from Seyitömer Thermal Power Plant, then investigated
for the availability to the solution under different asidic/basic leaching
conditions. 56.900 mg/kg iron and 39.400 mg/kg aluminum content were determined
in the supplied fly ash. Therefore, the recovery efficiencies of iron and aluminum
elements under different leaching conditions were investigated. Experiments
were carried out according to the Taguchi test design and different
solid/liquid ratios, different acid/base concentrations, and different
temperature conditions were studied. The most effective removal efficiencies
were obtained at a concentration of 1.5 M hydrochloric acid at 75 ° C with 1/5
solid/liquid ratio.
Termik

30.03.2021-Beginning with our April 2021 (26/1) issue, in accordance with the new criteria of TR-Dizin, the Declaration of Conflict of Interest and the Declaration of Author Contribution forms fulfilled and signed by all authors are required as well as the Copyright form during the initial submission of the manuscript. Furthermore two new sections, i.e. ‘Conflict of Interest’ and ‘Author Contribution’, should be added to the manuscript. Links of those forms that should be submitted with the initial manuscript can be found in our 'Author Guidelines' and 'Submission Procedure' pages. The manuscript template is also updated. For articles reviewed and accepted for publication in our 2021 and ongoing issues and for articles currently under review process, those forms should also be fulfilled, signed and uploaded to the system by authors.
