Her senaryonun birinci
In this paper a material supply problem of an
automotive subsidiary company is considered. The aim of the study is to reduce
non-value-added works by minimizing the transportation cost and inventory
amounts at the production area while delivering the materials to machines. Two
cases are taken into account for the material supply problem of the company,
and each case is examined in two stages. In the first stage of each case, a
fixed route plan of the handling truck is formed to reduce total travelled
distance. In the second stage, regarding the truck capacity and inventory
amounts at the production area, the material supply planning is realized by
using the route plan of the truck found in the first stage. To solve each
stage, a mixed integer mathematical model is proposed. As a result of the
computational studies, improvements on the truck utilization and reduction on
the inventory cost, transportation cost, and cost of other non-value-added
works are indicated in case of the application of the proposed solution
approach in the company.
