Asfalt üretiminde uygulamaya konulan bilimsel gelişmelerden biri de ılık karışım asfalt
teknolojisidir.
One of the scientific advances put into practice in asphalt production is warm mix asphalt
technology. By warm mix asphalt technology, it is possible to produce asphalt at lower temperatures. In
this study, Pawma-1 (%0.35) and Low Energy and Low Carbon-Dioxide Asphalt Pavement (Leadcap)
(%1.5) warm mix asphalt admixtures and Styrene-Butadiene-Styrene (SBS) (%2) admixture were tested
in mixture samples. The effects of the use hydrated lime in warm mix asphalt as filler, have also been
examined. Bitumen (B50/70) obtained from TÜPRAŞ refinery was used in the study. Limestone type
crushed stone material obtained from Elazığ Hankendi region was used as aggrates. After preparing the
modifier binders, mixture samples were prepared by determining the optimum bitumen contents
according to the Marshall method. 2% hydrated lime was used instead of filler in half of the mixture
samples. Marshall stability and yield test (ASTM D-1559) were applied on the prepared samples.
Stability increased with Leadcap, Pawma-1 and SBS additives. It has been shown that the hydrated lime
increases the stability values of warm mix asphalts. It has been determined that SBS modified mixtures
with hydrated lime gave the most positive results.

Furthermore two new sections, i.e. ‘Conflict of Interest’ and ‘Author Contribution’, should be added to the manuscript. Links of those forms that should be submitted with the initial manuscript can be found in our 'Author Guidelines' and 'Submission Procedure' pages. The manuscript template is also updated. For articles reviewed and accepted for publication in our 2021 and ongoing issues and for articles currently under review process, those forms should also be fulfilled, signed and uploaded to the system by authors.
