Solar energy, which finds a wide area of use with its advantages among renewable energy sources, which is an alternative to fossil fuels at the point of meeting the increasing energy need in parallel with the level of development, is on its way to becoming an important source of the energy sector of the future. In this study, solar panels and the factors affecting these panels were mentioned, and the amount of electricity to be produced by using solar panels in Bursa and Karaman, which has different sunshine periods, was determined by the Photovoltaic Geographical Information System (PVGIS) program. In addition, the depreciation period of the solar panel system to be installed has been calculated, taking into account the average electricity bill of the house where a family of four lives. As a result of the study, the annual electricity generation capacity was calculated as 6187.5 kWh for Bursa and 7575.7 kWh for Karaman, and it was found appropriate to install solar panel systems in both cities.
