The mosque which was built in Kastamonu by Yavuz Sultan Selim’s tutor Halimî Çelebi was later repaired by Yakub Ağa in 1547. This study deals with the arrangements in the new endowment deed after the repair and the income sources. Yakub Ağa, who was one of the persons closest to Suleiman the Magnificent in Topkapi Palace and rose to the post of Chief White Eunuch, passed away at the same time as him in Szigetvar, the last war of the sultan. Based on this, this paper attempts to clarify his career path from the position of Chief Kilerci to Chief White Eunuch and evaluates his motives for establishing a waqf in Kastamonu within this context. The properties he gained during his duties in the palace were also evaluated based on these duties.
